Manny Johnson

Manny Johnson has been a Key Speaker to Healthcare Professionals in Colorado, California, Oregon, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey and numerous countries. He has lectured on Cannabis, Marijuana and Hemp, at the largest Cannabis Convention in the world in Las Vegas,

At 18 he joined the U.S. Army to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. After serving in Special Operations Group (SOG), he was Honorably Discharged. He was instrumental in working with U.S. Congress to pass a bill to provide disabled veterans returning from the Gulf Wars with trained Service Dogs. His work with Veteran causes led him to become a Charter Member of Rally Point, a Veterans organization to train, promote, and find jobs for veterans after their service to our Country. He has been a leading advocate in Grow4Vets, an organization that provides veterans free of charge with medical cannabis in states where it is legal.

Mr. Johnson is a third-generation farmer, Professional Florida Nurseryman for 30-plus years and Co-Founder of one of the largest specialty/floral nurseries in the U.S.

In 2012, he started a company which grew over 125-acres of Hemp for two years in Austria, extracted the oils from the hemp flowers in Germany, made drywall and insulation with the non- flower parts of the plant, and had an FDA Permit to import Hemp Extract from Europe into the U.S.

He is a member of the Florida Nurserymen’s and Growers  Association, American Nurseryman’s Association. He is also a Research Associate of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians and the Colorado Cannabis Clinicians. When medical cannabis became legal, his extensive plant     experience coupled with his educational background in Biochemistry, made Mr. Johnson a sought-after Subject Matter Expert for Cannabis in the U.S., Europe, and South America.

Mr. Johnson and two of his partners had significant input into Florida’s original “Compassionate Marijuana Act of 2014.” Mr. Johnson has served as a Subject Matter Expert on essentially all updates to this legislation over the past eight-plus years.

The “Perfect Season” Miami Dolphins selected Ed Newman in the sixth round of the 1973 NFL draft. Ed went on to play 12 seasons (1973 to 1984) for Coach Don Shula, during which time he participated in one winning Super Bowl and two American Conference championships. Ed earned All-Pro recognition four times and played in 167 games, of which he started in 113. Ed reluctantly broke from the Dolphins after a knee injury that occurred in 1985.
Ed went on to pursue a law degree and served as a civil litigator from 1987 to 1994. After a successful election campaign, Ed was commissioned as a County Court Judge in and for Miami-Dade. Ed first served in the Domestic Violence Division, and over the span of 28 years, he rotated to preside over thousands of cases in the county’s Civil and Criminal Courts. 
In recognition of his charitable contributions, the South Florida Blood Service had “N.W. 17th Street” renamed to “Ed Newman Street.” The Miami Dolphins inducted Ed into their Walk of Fame in 2014, for his contributions to the team and the community. The following year, he was honored as one of the “Top 50” Miami Dolphins to have played within the first 50 years of the franchise.
