Jim Fried of Fried On Business talks to Ethan Penner, Managing Partner at Mosaic Real Estate Investors. Mosaic Real Estate Investors, LLC, was founded by Ethan Penner and Vicky Schiff with a commitment to providing investors with differentiated investment strategies whose focus and objective is principal preservation and delivering a return that consistently outpaces inflation within a structure that is transparent and performance based. Penner has had a significant influence on the real estate markets dating back to the early 1990s when he was President of Nomura Asset Capital Corp. Ethan Penner is also committed to improving the lives of others and enhancing awareness and does so in a number of ways including teaching – he is an adjunct professor at University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business; writing – he maintains a weekly blog and has had many articles published in a variety of publications including the Wall Street Journal, the Wharton Real Estate Review and the Institutional Real Estate Investor; public speaking – he is a frequent featured speaker at industry conferences and universities; philanthropy – in 1996 he founded the Walt Frazier Youth Foundation, which provided internships to teenagers at major U.S. corporations in New York City.

Glusman worked with hedge funds on prime brokerage at Merrill attaining his Futures Security License (SR3) and also worked directly, with his partners, alongside the Structured Product Group at Merrill Lynch building structured products for portfolio hedging in addition to managing team protocols and client investment plans. Glusman also worked on the Executive team at Merrill as well as with the Investment Banking Group. Glusman held multiple securities licenses during this period (SR7, SR66, SR3 & SR31) as well as Certified Designations (CFM Merrill Lynch, CRPC© College of Financial Planning) with training while at Merrill Lynch on fundamental analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, Modern Portfolio Theory as well as technical analysis using Point & Figure charting.
