UF – Emerging Trends in Florida Real Estate

Tim Becker is director of the Kelley A. Bergstrom Center For Real Estate Studies at the University of Florida. We will discuss the Center’s current study of the Emerging Trends in Florida Real Estate.

Property types will include office, retail, multifamily, condo, industrial and land. We will discuss markets across the state, including Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Naples, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville and, of course, Gainesville.

DUI and the Holidays

Jonathan Blecher is a criminal defense attorney in Miami who has practiced for over 30 years. He is a former state prosecutor who lectures frequently on DUI and criminal defense topics to business, civic and legal organizations.

Jon has defended thousands of criminal cases over the years from DUI to drug trafficking to homicide. Mr. Blecher is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, Superb-rated by AVVO and has been recognized as a South Florida Legal Leader and is in Who’s Who in Law.

Terek Maddox, B.S., exercise physiology, is an exercise science/strength and conditioning coach for his firm ESPA Training, Inc., in South Florida. After a stint with the New York Jets‘ strength and conditioning department, Terek returned to Miami to head his own sports-training company for professional athletes in the South Florida area.

He currently works with athletes in the NBA and NFL, in addition to high school and collegiate-level athletes training to get to the next level of their specific sport. Terek is a member of The National Athletic Training Association Board of Certification.

When medical cannabis became legal, his extensive plant experience coupled with his educational background in Biochemistry, made Mr. Johnson a sought-after Subject Matter Expert for Cannabis in the U.S., Europe, and South America. Mr. Johnson and two of his partners had significant input into Florida’s original “Compassionate Marijuana Act of 2014.” Mr. Johnson has served as a Subject Matter Expert on essentially all updates to this legislation over the past eight-plus years.
