Liana Werner-Gray: That was perfect, actually.

Jim Fried: Awesome, all right, see? So, stick with us Liana is going to be on. She’s going to be talking about her Earth Diet, what prompted her to go into the Earth Diet, and what the Earth Diet truly is. We’re going to talk about going green with our good friend Don Weidenfeld, and we’re going to talk about hot summer car deals with Larry Zen. So, we got a great show. Let’s get right to it. Announcer: You’re listening to Fried on Business. To talk to Jim and his guests call 305-541-2350. That’s 305-541-2350. Now, back to your host Jim Fried.

Jim Fried: And we are waiting for big Don to give me a call. Is that the story there Wanda? Big D is on?

Wanda: No, he’s here, he’s here.

Jim Fried: Oh, well what am I sitting there doing?

Wanda: I don’t know.

Jim Fried: Big Don, are you there?

Don Weidenfeld: Absolutely, I’ve been here since five till six.

Jim Fried: Well, that’s because you’re always prepared, and ready to help people save money on their energy, and real estate. Don, how are you man?

Don Weidenfeld: I’m doing fantastic, how about you Jim?

Jim Fried: I’m doing fine, and by the way if anybody wants to see us we’re on a live feed, on which page are we on?

Wanda: The Earth Diet.

Jim Fried: The Earth Diet page, so anybody wants to see us we’ll be streaming live on the Earth Diet page then she’s going to put that up and cross-link to us. That’s all kinds of terminology I’m going to know for next week, and I see where you put it up. That’s actually a great spot. I’m going to use that next time. That’s an official view of the Fried on Business radio show right there.

Wanda: It covers everything.

Jim Fried: It does. Wanda, don’t tell anybody else about that spot. That’s our spot.

Wanda: Not a word.

Jim Fried: All right, now Don we talked last week about how you can help…well actually it was a couple weeks ago about how you can help folks save money on their residential, and commercial real estate. I know we’ve had a bunch of super luxury Realtors come on. They ask me how can Magnum help them. What can you do for the super luxury Realtor real estate?

Don Weidenfeld: Well, Jim, I can do a lot, but before we get there I’m up on Facebook. Maybe this Earth Diet is really helping you out because I think I saw that you were body surfing out there out in the ocean or…

Jim Fried: Yes, you’re outing me. I guess I outed myself yesterday. Yeah, people can look. My vine, and my Facebook. I’m wearing my Hawaiian shirt today. I’ve got my flip flops on. We’re pretending that we’re on vacation. I guess we are on vacation. Hey, okay, Liana. I’ve got Liana here. I’ve got Vivian is going to actually going to be interviewing Liana because she’s the one who fixes my food. So, yeah we’re really laid back Don. Well, you haven’t laid back. What did you do for the fourth?

Don Weidenfeld: Well, as a matter of fact we were down on South Beach for the weekend just went down by boats. Stayed at the Miami Beach Marina, had dinner at all the local restaurants down there. It was fantastic.

Jim Fried: Well, listen. Thank you for being a promoter of the local fair, and fishing. Now, what exactly can you do? We had, like I said, in fact we were one of your clients has a fabulous mansion there on Miami Beach. We went to that too. What can we do for people like that that have these fancy homes that want to get all their stuff in one place. Want to be safe, secure, want to have government type protection for their internet. Can you help people like that?

Don Weidenfeld: Yes, 100% Jim. Let me just give you a little bit of background on Magnum Energy Solutions.

Jim Fried: Good, I think that’s important.

Don Weidenfeld: Magnum is a manufacturer of wireless, and battery-less energy management equipment, and it saves between 25, and 40% of your energy bill of your house, or office, building, or apartment complex, or whatnot, and how it does that is there’s occupancy sensors placed in each room in the house, and the occupancy sensors communicate with your thermostat. So, if there’s nobody in the house the thermostat automatically adjusts to the temperature that you pre set in there. So, like my house I have set at 77 degrees when I’m not here, and when I am here it notifies the thermostat, and it goes down to 72 degrees. So, at any point in time you can literally just control your thermostat just by being in your occupancy, and what not. So, it’s quite …

Jim Fried: Oh, that is great, and I know we’ve been using it on office buildings. It also is really good for hotels, and student housing. Why is it best…why is it so effective for hotels, and student housing, Don?

Don Weidenfeld: Well, especially in the hotel space as you know the owner of the hotel pays the electric bill, and the customer in the hotel generally they push the air conditioning down as cold as they can get it because quite frankly they’re not paying the bill.

Jim Fried: Well, that’s my thought process every time I go in there.

Don Weidenfeld: Yeah, in South Florida it’s 90 degrees outside, and everybody leaves the air conditioner on at 65. So, the owner of those hotels are literally funding the bill for everybody else’s comfort, and then they leave the hotel room, and your air conditioning a room that nobody is in.

Jim Fried: Well, that’s to lower the humidity outside. That way the water gets on the outside of the … you know.

Don Weidenfeld: Yeah, outside of the window, and whatnot.

Jim Fried: Exactly, exactly.

Don Weidenfeld: So, quite frankly you had it in student housing, and in universities especially, and also in the hotels. Those are three verticals where the owners, or the university, or whatnot pays the electric bill, and the customer does not, therefore, they have no incentive whatsoever, the customer to keep the air at normal temperatures. So, now you can control that, reduce your energy consumption by 25 and 40%. And I’m telling you that’s a big number. When it comes to some of these universities the electric bills are four five million dollars.

Jim Fried: Oh, man.

Don Weidenfeld: And you start saving on average 32, 30% of a $5 million number. You’re talking about saving a million and a half dollars.

Jim Fried: It’s amazing.

Don Weidenfeld: Consumption, not to mention it’s green, and it’s good for our environment.

Liana Werner-Gray: Thumbs up to that.

Jim Fried: There you go. There you go Don, we got…

Liana Werner-Gray: It’s awesome.

Jim Fried: Yeah, Liana is very big green advocate. She’s here from Australia, maybe you couldn’t hear that. You got a question for Don, Liana? What do you want to know about green energy, and what Don does? Don, I walk into the offices, and I see that they have the automatic turn on and turn off. Those are things that you guys do also, right?

Don Weidenfeld: Absolutely. Yes.

Jim Fried: All right.

Don Weidenfeld: Yes, and we also…everything we do is tied back into an iPad, or an iPhone for control of your entire building, or you can override anything by going to the thermostats, and we have switching that’s wireless. You can place anywhere in your space.

Jim Fried: So, I have a question then. I have a question. Nobody is picking up the station phone, Wanda. Larry must be calling. Nobodies picking up the station phone, Wanda. Larry must be calling.

Liana Werner-Gray: So, it’s great that people are saving money, and it’s benefiting the environment.

Don Weidenfeld: I want to rock it in the Lamborghini.

Jim Fried: Yeah, hold on. Don, what did you say what about Larry?

Don Weidenfeld: Well, someone’s got to pick up Larry. I want to ride in one of his Lamborghinis.

Jim Fried: Yeah, I know. I know that Liana was saying something. We talked over you.

Liana Werner-Gray: Yeah, okay, so just on what you’re doing, Don, with your work I think it’s great that it’s good for the environment plus people are saving money. So, it makes sense on multiple levels.

Jim Fried: Oh yeah, oh yeah. That girl knows how to throw a softball doesn’t she, Don?

Don Weidenfeld: No question about it. Liana, did I overhear that you’re from Australia?

Liana Werner-Gray: I am, yep. Born and raised in Australia. Moved to New York City seven years ago.

Don Weidenfeld: Wow, fantastic. That’s great. No, I’m very close with somebody who lives in Sydney.

Liana Werner-Gray: Awesome.

Jim Fried: You need to go visit them, and then swing by and get some Earth Diet, and hang out with them over at Australia, but Don. So, we’ve been talking about the platform that you have. Now, we talked a little bit about Australia. That’s not where Magnum gets their components built. Where do you guys do your development in building and stuff?

Don Weidenfeld: We’re 100% built and developed in the United States. We have five manufacturing facilities in Ohio, and everything is built there. We also have our design engineers in Hudson, Ohio. So, we design everything in house. We take the Spectrum lighting companies, and whatnot, and we design it to fit the needs that they have on the roll out.

Jim Fried: Wow, now do you also do retail, office, things like that?

Don Weidenfeld: We do everything. In addition to the air conditioning, don’t forget Jim we do lighting as well.

Jim Fried: Well, wow.

Don Weidenfeld: We pair with Phillips Lighting, and we’ve been rolling out for the first time this quarter our nodes are in all of their light. So, if you look at those the tubular lights they’ll have now an eyeball on them. So, they light will actually control the space, and we also get the data that is delivered back to us from the lights, and the eyes. So, we know exactly how much energy each light fixture is using, and in addition to that we know exactly how often the light is going on and off, and how often there’s people in the location to offset…to set up the occupancy sensor.

Jim Fried: Well Don…

Don Weidenfeld: So, lighting is very smart. It’s coming out unbelievably smart now.

Jim Fried: Sounds like anybody who’s wasting energy at all at this point should have a finger wagged at them, and we need to be working on getting this rock moving together the right way. It sounds like you’re heading in the right direction with all that.

Don Weidenfeld: Oh, 100%, Jim, and in addition to that we’re putting together…we’ve got new financing techniques.

Jim Fried: Really?

Don Weidenfeld: Which help matters. We have some funds in conjunction with Magnum that we can actually pay for 100% of the installation, and we’ll split the energy savings, so therefore there’s no money outlay to the customer, and let’s say we do a split for five years on the energy savings. After that they get 100% of all savings, and before that we get 50% without any money layout.

Jim Fried: Wow.

Don Weidenfeld: So, you can see how lucrative that would be for everybody.

Jim Fried: Well, Don how do people get info, and how do they get on board with the Magnum Energy train?

Don Weidenfeld: Our website is www.magnum, M-A-G-N-U-M for those Jet’s fans.

Jim Fried: You’re the best, I love you.

Don Weidenfeld: Magnumenergysolutions.com, or you can reach me at 561-702-9000. That is a Florida number, 561-702-9000, and again www.magnumenergysolutions.com.

Jim Fried: Hey Don, I want to thank you so much for coming on. We got Larry holding on the other end. We got Leanne ready to talk to Larry, talk to you. She’s all over the place today. She’s got us on her video Facebook blog there. Don, say a little something to Liana here.

Don Weidenfeld: I can’t wait to lose weight after this show, and take a drive in my new Lamborghini. This is so exciting.

Liana Werner-Gray: Awesome.

Jim Fried: Oh, you’re the man Don. Well, we give everybody information that you can use every day, and put to work right away. So, Don make sure you stay tuned for the rest of the show because I think you can learn from Liana for sure, and maybe we can get Larry on one of them bubble gum cards. The colors, we can get you into one of those beautiful Lamborghini. It’s going to be great.

Don Weidenfeld: Yeah, love it. Absolutely.

Jim Fried: All right, well I’m going to be there Saturday at the Super Cars Saturday thing. We’ll talk about that a little bit with Larry. Maybe you can be there, Don, if not this time then next tie.

Don Weidenfeld: No, this time I think I can make it there Jim.

Jim Fried: Oh, high five. I’ll meet you there. We have a date.

Don Weidenfeld: Okay.

Jim Fried: High five, all right. Well, Don I’ll see you Saturday. Now I know I’m going to see my friend Don on Saturday. My friend Larry on Saturday. Liana, you going to be there again?

Liana Werner-Gray: I’m actually not.

Jim Fried: Oh, well I should’ve known the answer before I asked you, but that’s okay. That’s where I met Liana was at one of those things. Don, I’ll see you Saturday. We’ll be back after this with our good friend Larry Zen. We’re going to talk about information…

Liana Werner-Gray: Woo.

Jim Fried: Yeah, there you go. Give it again.

Liana Werner-Gray: Woo, woo.

Jim Fried: There you go. Information you can use right away today to help you save money, make money, or have just a great life. Don, thanks for helping us do all three here today with you and Magnum.

Don Weidenfeld: My pleasure, Jim. Thank you very much for inviting me. It’s always great to be on the show.

Jim Fried: We love you. We’ll see you Saturday. We’ll have a Sabado Hagunte together. We’ll be back after this. Wanda, it’s yours.

[commercial break]

Announcer: You’re listening to Fried on Business. To talk to Jim and his guests call 305-541-2350. That’s 305-541-2350. Now, back to your host, Jim Fried.

Jim Fried: All right, we’re back on. We’re here with Fried on Business. I can hear myself so that means we’re back on the air. Liana is here. Liana is going to be helping us with the Earth Diet. She is the founder of the Earth Diet. We’re going to talk to Liana Werner-Gray. I thought I knew your…

Liana Werner-Gray: It’s Liana, but it’s okay. Rhymes with banana.

Jim Fried: Oh, Liana.

Liana Werner-Gray: It’s the way to remember.

Jim Fried: Okay, not Fried, Fried, now we’re even Give me a fist bump.

Liana Werner-Gray: We’re totally even.

Jim Fried: You’re the best girlfriend. All right, we’re going to talk about how I stay healthy with the Earth Diet, but before we do that we’re going to talk to my favorite car dealer in the world. Larry’s in, your ears must be burning Larry.

Liana Werner-Gray: Larry.

Jim Fried: There he is. We’ve been talking about Larry, and his cars all time putting up the shots of the bubble gum cards. How you doing, Larry? Larry?

Larry Zinn: Jim, hey Liana.

Liana Werner-Gray: Hey.

Jim Fried: Hey, you must have had us on mute because he was having such a good time in his Warren Henry vehicle on his way home from work. So, Larry welcome.

Larry Zinn: I just didn’t want to interrupt you, Jim.

Jim Fried: Oh, my gosh. Well, hey that’s no problem Larry. Now listen, we’ve got Liana on. We met Liana at the like a banana, Liana banana. Oh my gosh.

Liana Werner-Gray: You got it. Yes.

Jim Fried: Banana, Liana, banana fanna at the supercar Saturday. We already got Don. Don’s heading out there to meet me Saturday at the supercar events. We’ve already got people motivated to come up there. Larry, when we go to the supercar event what are people going to see?

Larry Zinn: Well, last time we had a bunch of race cars out there, which was really unique and different for us. We’re planning on doing something similar again as far as getting the race cars out there, but we’re also planning a lot of classics this time, as well as exotics. Lots and lots of exotics, and the great thing is the show has continued to grow, and grow, and there’s a nice community in following building around it. So, also this weekend we’re doing a contest for teenagers. So, whichever teenager comes up with the best photo from the weekend we’re going to vote on it, and that teenager will get a prize from our Lamborghini boutique.

Jim Fried: Oh, I want one of them T-shirts.

Liana Werner-Gray: Nice.

Jim Fried: I want one of those T-shirts, and …

Larry Zinn: Yeah, they are pretty cool.

Jim Fried: So, listen Larry. That’s going to be great, we’re going to get up there where the supercar community comes to meet, and greet, and do things. It’s going to be great, and it’s building. I can feel it. I can’t wait to see you, Peter, the rest of the team. How’s Abi doing? Is he all right? Is he getting better?

Larry Zinn: He’s doing well, thank you very much for asking, Jim.

Jim Fried: Okay, we give a hug and kiss out to Abi who had a little bit of an issue there, but now Larry it’s summertime, and everybody knows that summer time it sizzles on the lot, and it’s not just because it’s hot. It’s because there’s different deals to be done. You got any good specials going on out there that people need to check out?

Larry Zinn: Oh, absolutely. Being that it’s this early in the month all the specials just changed. So, definitely worth checking out. We have some great things going on at Land Rover, as well as Infinity, and Jaguar this month. So, really all around this month we’ve seen a great improvement in programs. Some really, really great lease programs out there, and retail as well. So, we certainly check those out on our website. They’re all up there, and highlighted. So, definitely worth looking at.

Jim Fried: Yeah, last time I was there, Larry, I spent time…excuse me. Pardon me one second everybody. Wow, I hope that didn’t go out too bad, but anyway. Larry, last time I was there I was sitting with a family that had driven all the way from Orlando to buy from Warren Henry Automotive. What would somebody motivate them to do that?

Liana Werner-Gray: Wow.

Larry Zinn: We take a lot of pride in our reputation, and in the end I as well as my family believe that that’s all we can stand on. What we stand for, and doing the right thing, and I think that’s something that we’ve been able to cultivate, and make customer’s aware of. We try and do as much as we can to get good reviews online, and follow up with our customers to make sure that they had a good experience with us, and if there’s ever an occasion where that didn’t happen. We want to know why it didn’t happen, and certainly try and improve on it.

Jim Fried: Now, we did get a text in here. Don, wants to know how much the light Lamborghini is, the one that I always take the pictures of vogueing in front of. What is that? How much are the Lamborghinis? I think people would really want to know. I found it fascinating what the least program was. Tell them just a couple of numbers on that stuff, Larry.

Larry Zinn: Well, the least expensive new Lamborghini that came out is the 580-2, which is a rear wheel drive version of the Horicon. That vehicle starts at $200,000, and there’s different variations of the car, which can really get it up to just a little over $300,000 for a loaded up version of the Spider, which is the convertible.

Jim Fried: Oh, my gosh. I’m telling you Larry, and then people can lease those. They put some down, and then they can lease them at four or five thousand a month, or something?

Larry Zinn: Well, absolutely. You can lease them. You can purchase them, there’s all sorts of different options that are available for those cars. There are also other ones that are more expensive, and more extreme, but it’s certainly been a lot of fun to work around these cars, and being a car nut just learning more and more about them, and fortunately a little while back I had the privilege of going to Italy to see how they’re built. The love and car that goes into each one of these vehicles is really something special, and unique.

Jim Fried: Oh, man, I saw you running around with the kid showing people the different options there are the Saturday a few weeks ago. I’m just telling you we got to do some more deals, Larry, so I can get myself one of those. Maybe Don would buy…I think Don is looking to buy one of those. You better…yes, the white one is the…that’s the one for him. Apparently, the more expensive. He wants the options. Don, is a big spender. He’s got all this…. all these investments. I think they’re paying off. I think being in the green energy business is probably a good place to be right now. Larry, we only got a couple minutes’ left, how do people get a hold of you, and maybe want to…go ahead.

Larry Zinn: You can reach at warrenhenryauto.com, or 305-690-6006. I also wanted to throw something out there for you, Jim.

Jim Fried: Please.

Larry Zinn: I know you weren’t asking for it, but over the next few months we’re going to be partnering with Alonzo Mourning in what we call team 33, so every vehicle that we sell new or used throughout all of our stores over the next few months is going to have $33 of the sale donated to the over town youth center.

Jim Fried: Oh man.

Larry Zinn: That’s going to go towards aiding, housing, clothing, basically Alonzo Mourning has been a very, very influential person in our community, and very philanthropic. His organization does a lot for these kids, and we want to support in the best way that we can. So, going forward for the next few months, all of our vehicles sold will have $33 donated to the Team 33, and the morning foundation.

Jim Fried: Well, I’ll be there on Saturday to make sure that I put some money in the bell for Alonzo, and the kids in Overtown. You can be darn sure of that. Nobody in this town has done more in recent years than the guy who’s leaving town, and the other guy who’s still staying. Larry… Will you…Wanda, do I have at least a second left? Larry, give me your take on D Wade, what do you think, Bud?

Larry Zinn: Yeah, I’m very grateful for all the years that we had here with him. I can’t thank him enough. Certainly, a hero of mine growing up, and being a basketball fan in Miami. I understand that he’s got to move on, and do what he has to do, and now it’s time for Miami to rebuild. I’m sure it won’t be an easy year, two years. I still have faith in Pat Riley, but I know that it’s probably best for all parties, and we’re very grateful that we had an opportunity to watch him through all these years, and for the championships, and the great memories that he’s brought to us.

Jim Fried: I couldn’t have said it any better, in fact maybe we leave that with Larry. Larry, one more time the Warren Henry site so people can go get the best deals in town.

Larry Zinn: You can reach us at warrenhenryauto.com, or at Warren Henry Auto on any of the social media pages.

Jim Fried: Thank you so much, Larry, for all you do for the community, for having those great Warren Henry super Saturdays. Can’t wait to get up there with Don this week, and for introducing me to Liana who’s coming back after this break. Finally, she’s going to get her chance to tell everybody how to eat right, stay fit, stay happy. Larry, I want to thank you and Courtney again for introducing us to Liana, ripe banana. We’ll be back after this. High five, Larry.

Larry Zinn: High five, Jim. Thank you.

Jim Fried: You’re welcome.

[commercial break]

Announcer: You’re listening to Fried on Business. To talk to Jim and his guests call 305-541-2350. That’s 305-541-2350. Now, back to your host Jim Fried.

Jim Fried: This is the part we’ve been waiting for. Liana, sounds like banana, Werner-Gray. She’s the bestselling author, she’s a sought after speaker, an advocate for natural healing using a healthy diet, and lifestyles. Lord knows we need that at my house. No more delay. Liana welcome to the show.

Liana Werner-Gray: Thank you so much for having me.

Jim Fried: It’s my pleasure, now we’re going to have my assistant. My lovely assistant, Vivian’s going to be on, and she’s going to help me interview you because Vivian is the one that buys all the food, and makes sure that I eat right.

Liana Werner-Gray: Good.

Jim Fried: Now, honey, what are the things that we do that the diets say we should do?

Vivian Fried: We eat organic, and we eat everything natural.

Liana Werner-Gray: Awesome.

Jim Fried: Okay, so yesterday I was at the beach, I drank watermelon juice. You guys made a big stink about that, why?

Liana Werner-Gray: Well, that was exciting to see there.

Vivian Fried: It was cold pressed.

Jim Fried: Cold pressed?

Liana Werner-Gray: Beautiful watermelon juice. Very hydrating, very nourishing. High in anti-oxidants.

Jim Fried: Oh yeah, now Liana how did you get involved in all this? What made you decide to do this?

Liana Werner-Gray: I hit rock bottom with my health, which is what made me have a turning point.

Jim Fried: You’re kidding. I’m going to just have to say it in front of my wife, is that okay? You’re gorgeous.

Liana Werner-Gray: Thank you. Well, I was two sizes bigger, and I had a lot of health issues. My skin was really bad, I had digestive issues, and I was in the hospital at age 21.

Jim Fried: How horrible.

Liana Werner-Gray: I had a tumor the size of a golf ball in my lymphatic system, and I was eating junk foods every single day for five years prior to that wake-up call.

Jim Fried: You mean like junk food like chips, and hamburgers?

Liana Werner-Gray: Like any type of junk food. You name it. Fast food restaurants, like French fries, chocolate, cookies, chips, KFC, everything.

Jim Fried: Well, there’s only one thing I can say about that. G-R-O-S-S, gag me. Blah. So, now you hit rock bottom, and you’re lying there in the hospital bed, and what? You had an epiphany? What happened?

Liana Werner-Gray: Yeah, I was in hospital, and I just had a conversation with myself, and I was like, “Okay, I’m 21, this is far too young to be feeling like crap” basically, and surely I do not have to live like this for the rest of my life. So, I said, “Somehow, I want to find a way out of this.” To get off being addicted to junk foods, and change my life, and feel better.

Jim Fried: Well, you’ve done more than that. You’ve become a …I don’t know if I can say this right. A cause celeb, you’re a thought leader, and a person that has thousands of followers. You’re on the Louise Hay network. High five to you, I didn’t even know who that was.

Liana Werner-Gray: Thank you.

Jim Fried: Until, Wanda knows who that is. Wanda is applauding you for that.

Liana Werner-Gray: Woo, thank you Wanda.

Jim Fried: I guess that means that what you do is you help people change their life every day. How do you do that?

Liana Werner-Gray: Yes, yes, so basically with diet. Diet changes our life. So, diet saved my life, and changed my life. So, I created the Earth Diet, and it makes it easier to be healthy because we get to eat all of our favorite foods for the rest of our life just in a really clean, and nourishing way. So, I said how can I have chocolate, or how can I have cheesecake, cakes, cookies, all my favorite foods. Burgers, so I just started making them using really clean ingredients. So, it wasn’t poisoning my body, but nourishing my body instead. So, that’s how I transformed.

Jim Fried: Well, you’re getting the love of my life just doesn’t stop but nodding. What’s going on here honey, is that what you’re…

Vivian Fried: That’s what we eat in our house. We buy fresh organic chicken. We buy fresh wild snapper.

Liana Werner-Gray: Amazing.

Vivian Fried: Wild sea bass. Everything we buy is wild from the fish department, and organic from the meat department, and grass fed.

Jim Fried: From the guy that I saw on the front page today.

Vivian Fried: So, you’re not chasing them around Miami, then?

Liana Werner-Gray: Yes.

Jim Fried: No, I’m not chasing anybody out of Miami.

Vivian Fried: No, chasing the chickens around Miami because you can get them right there on…

Jim Fried: No, no, no, no, no that’s not no, no, no, no I’m not. Yeah, but that’s true I do drive by that part of town all the time. I haven’t hit one yet, although, I have been hungry at times. Oh, that says our Facebook ad has reached a lot of people honey. Liana, now that you’ve gotten out of hospital you’ve decided you wanted to reach out. How did you go about reaching out?

Liana Werner-Gray: You mean reaching out to the world with this message?

Jim Fried: Yes, yes.

Liana Werner-Gray: So, I just started as a blog, and I said every single day I would only eat foods that come straight from nature. So, whole foods, not processed, with no preservatives, additives, stuff like that. So, I just did the blog for myself, and I thought if I’m blogging every day, and I get a few readers that’ll help hold me accountable to sticking to my goal because for five years when I was binge eating on junk food nobody knew that I was doing that. From the outside everyone thought I was healthy, so I said okay I’m going to tell the world that I’ve been struggling with this. So, I started to get a few readers, and then word of mouth must caught on because a lot of people deal with the same kind of issue of being addicted to junk foods, and that high. That sugar high, and then feeling really down, and then just eating junk foods again to keep them at this high. So, the blog is really got the word out there, and then I got published by Hay House. So, so lucky, and it’s just really spread to…

Jim Fried: You’ve been discovered. Can we say that? You’ve been discovered. We got another friend like you. We talk to Lauren Book all the time. You’re an advocate for healthy eating. Lauren’s an advocate for healthy children, and protecting our children, and we’ve got Vivian here who’s going to be an advocate for people to not do diet pills, and not do eating disorders. Vivian was just on TV. Vivian had a very similar experience to you, honey?

Liana Werner-Gray: Amazing.

Vivian Fried: I hit rock bottom, and then I decided that I was going to…I had no choice.

Jim Fried: God, I love you. You’re so beautiful, come on. Time out, time out.

Vivian Fried: I had no choice.

Liana Werner-Gray: Yes.

Jim Fried: I love you, you are so beautiful, and sexy. Continue.

Liana Werner-Gray: Wow, wow, the love here is amazing.

Vivian Fried: So, I hit rock bottom, and I decided that I was going to stop eating junk food too because I used to eat maybe five French fries a day.

Liana Werner-Gray: You mean five packets.

Vivian Fried: No, five French fries a day because I was at a…

Jim Fried: Yeah no, no, she means five orders of French fries. Five…

Liana Werner-Gray: Oh okay.

Vivian Fried: Five.

Jim Fried: Five single units of French…one French fry?

Vivian Fried: Yeah, five. When we went on trips I used to eat a whole plate, but that was because I was going to take my diuretics later, and I was going to come out.

Jim Fried: Well, okay. I just pushed back because I didn’t know that. That’s a new one on me. I remember those meals. So, anyway let’s go back to healthy eating. We’re not going to hold anybody anything, we’re just going to thank everybody, and give everybody forgiveness because this show is about love and forgiveness, and isn’t that one of the first things you had to do Liana? Was forgive yourself for pounding yourself like that?

Liana Werner-Gray: Yeah, well I knew that I had ruined my body, and I knew that I had done a lot of damage to my health. So, I knew that I could undo it. So, I just started nourishing my body properly. That became my goal. My goal was that I wanted to have consistent health for the rest of my life. So, I wanted to restore love, and proper nourishment into my body, and everyone who is addicted, or has an eating disorder can absolutely break out of it, and that’s the message. Can be free of it.

Jim Fried: Wow, well what’s the first step that you think somebody should do?

Liana Werner-Gray: Start with lemon water every morning.

Vivian Fried: Of course.

Liana Werner-Gray: Just get up out of bed, and make a big fresh glass of water. Squeeze some lemon in there, and then drink that because that will alkalize the body, and put a lot of vitamin C in the body, and it’s high in anti-oxidants. It’s a great way to start the day with a very healthy way.

Vivian Fried: And it’s also great for your skin.

Jim Fried: Well, hold that thought. I think we’ve got a break, Wanda? DO we have a break now? How much more time?

Wanda: We can have a break. It’s your show man.

Jim Fried: Let’s do the break now because I think starting your day is right, and then we’re going to come back, and find out how to live the rest of your day healthy. So, that you can come back and kick the world’s booty, or do whatever else it is that you want to do in your day. Liana, I’m giving you a fist bump. Honey, I’m giving you a kiss, and everybody else stick with us. We’ve got some great information coming up that’s going to change your life today. Back after this.

[commercial break]

Announcer: You’re listening to Fried on Business. To talk to Jim and his guests call 305-541-2350. That’s 305-541-2350. Now, back to your host Jim Fried.

Jim Fried: Oh yeah. We’re rocking it. We are dancing, we are having the grooviest time here with my favorite healthy eating advocate, Liana sounds like a banana Werner-Gray. She’s the bestselling author. She hit rock bottom, has come out to help the entire world learn about her experience, and to help them live better. Louise Hay has gotten involved now, and got around the network, and Liana this segments all about you. What do you want to tell our folks?

Liana Werner-Gray: Okay, so basically health and the goal that you have in your mind should be that you want to live a healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life. So, a consistently healthy lifestyle, and once that becomes the goal then it’s all about self-love, and self-nourishment. So, how will you nourish your body today, and the cool thing is that when you nourish your body every single day properly then you can have your cake and eat it too.

So, you can eat all these amazingly delicious foods, but they’re real foods. They’re whole foods, and all that excess weight sheds, and comes off, which is such a great bonus because the body wants to be at it’s beautiful, natural goddess body weight. It’s just that we get in the way, and we eat all these foods that have fillers, and additives, and gluten, and it just makes is really puffy, and bloated, and overweight like I was once…

Jim Fried: Well, gluten.

Liana Werner-Gray: Yeah, exactly.

Jim Fried: Oh my gosh.

Liana Werner-Gray: Gluten. Gluten is a great one to kick out of the day, and it’s easier these days because there’s all these amazing gluten free products.

Jim Fried: Tell me, tell me.

Liana Werner-Gray: Like I have right here right now. So, this is one of my favorites. This is a gluten free pasta.

Jim Fried: Show the Facebook folks.

Liana Werner-Gray: So, I love pasta, and so pasta I want to eat for the rest of my life, and so this brand is Explore Cuisine, and it’s available Whole Foods, Costco, Vitacost.com. Basically everywhere…

Jim Fried: It even has a coupon on it.

Liana Werner-Gray: It does, and so this is for lasagna sheets. You can even have gluten free lasagna.

Jim Fried: Vivian’s nodding her head. We have that gluten free pasta that was in the house already, right? I’ve been trying to eat that.

Vivian Fried: Yes, yeah, very good.

Jim Fried: There you go. What…okay, so you couldn’t keep your hands off the chocolate bears. Tell me about the chocolate bars.

Liana Werner-Gray: So, there are the chocolate bars. Okay, so these are one of my favorite chocolate. Okay. I always say to people…

Jim Fried: Show the Facebook. There you go.

Liana Werner-Gray: Take your biggest obstacle. What is your biggest obstacle?

Jim Fried: Wow, look at that arm, you work out too don’t you?

Liana Werner-Gray: I have long yoga arms. They’re freakishly long. Thanks to yoga, so chocolate was my biggest obstacle. I was addicted to the processed kind with the milk, and the dairy, and…

Jim Fried: I know other people like that.

Liana Werner-Gray: Sugar, chemicals, preservatives. So, the very first thing I replaced was chocolate, and so I started eating organic chocolate, and making my own recipes for chocolate. I have a whole chocolate section in my book the Earth Diet, and so just for me making that one switch from processed chocolate to real chocolate, a lot of excess weight shed, and my immune system got stronger, and I was able to heal the tumor in my lymphatic system for chocolate. Chocolate literally saved, and changed my life, and now I eat real organic chocolate every single day like this one, Theos. It’s so good.

Jim Fried: My wife buys me the real chocolate every day. I eat that too. She says it’s good for me. I say okay, five, five, give me more chocolate. I can’t wait to eat it. I have dinner, and then I have a piece of chocolate every day after dinner that she goes out and specially buys. What other thing should I be eating every day?

Liana Werner-Gray: Awesome. So, green juice. If you have a green juice every single day for the rest of your life you’re basically set, and you’re getting all the nutrition you need on a base level.

Jim Fried: I’m there, I’m there.

Vivian Fried: Tell her what blender do you have. Vita?

Jim Fried: I have the Vita-mix blender.

Liana Werner-Gray: Awesome.

Jim Fried: I have the perfect, I put in the perfect. Okay, I’m going to just tell her.

Liana Werner-Gray: Best blender in the world by the way.

Jim Fried: I’m going to tell you you got to come over. I guess I should do a video of me making my shake one day. I have a smoothie every morning. Five…you have a smoothie too?

Liana Werner-Gray: No, I want to come do video.

Jim Fried: You want to come do the video? Well, come do the video then.

Liana Werner-Gray: Awesome.

Jim Fried: That’s a high five to you, you’re going to be there. So, I start out I put four ice cubes in. Then I go and I put in…well you tell them Viv, you’re the one that lays out all the fruit.

Vivian Fried: Everything organic from plums, mangos, cherries, wild berries, strawberries.

Jim Fried: Pineapple.

Liana Werner-Gray: Sounds like heaven.

Vivian Fried: Yummy, yum.

Jim Fried: Raspberries, blueberries, did we say mango? Ginger.

Vivian Fried: Wild berries.

Jim Fried: Ginger.

Liana Werner-Gray: So vibrant.

Jim Fried: Oh, I have a secret. I’m going to tell a secret. Your listeners better high five me after this. So, you want ginger in your drink, but it tastes like caca, right? What you do is you put in watermelon juice, and it goes, and it counters it. I’m telling you, I told you a secret now girlfriend.

Liana Werner-Gray: Absolutely, watermelon with ginger.

Jim Fried: Check that out.

Liana Werner-Gray: Such a great combination.

Jim Fried: It gets rid of the ginger. It cuts the ginger flavor though. Oh I love it, and so I put that in. I put in palm, regular palm. I don’t know what flavor she gets me. Palm, I put in the apple juice there’s no preservatives, no sugar in it.

Vivian Fried: And organic, because apples is very processed, and has a lot of pesticides. So, you have to make sure. Liana has it in her book, that it is…make sure it’s organic.

Liana Werner-Gray: Buy everything organic as much as you can. It’s worth it.

Vivian Fried: Everything.

Jim Fried: I got organic right here.

Liana Werner-Gray: You’re worth it.

Jim Fried: I got the organic girl. That’s the natural girl right there. She gives her hugs, and kisses are all 100% natural.

Liana Werner-Gray: Woo, there’s a lot of love in this room.

Jim Fried: OH, they help you feel good too. Now, Liana what’s your number one favorite Earth Diet food? Three minutes, so you got two minutes.

Liana Werner-Gray: Recipe, okay the chicken nuggets. I love the chicken nuggets. It’s just organic chicken coated in egg with a crust of almond flower, turmeric and real salt, and it makes it crispy, and crunchy just like our favorite fast food fried chicken.

Jim Fried: Well, you need to come back again because I know we haven’t even talked about some of the things that I use like the pink salt.

Vivian Fried: Himalayan salt.

Jim Fried: We use pink…

Liana Werner-Gray: The real salt, pink salt, Himalayan salt, or the bentonite clay.

Vivian Fried: Yes.

Liana Werner-Gray: To detox the body.

Jim Fried: Is that what you were wearing the other day, honey?

Vivian Fried: Yes.

Liana Werner-Gray: I was wearing that earlier on today.

Jim Fried: Okay, okay.

Liana Werner-Gray: It’s like nature’s Botox, it sucks all the toxins out of our skin. It’s amazing.

Jim Fried: Now, isn’t there a clay or something I’m supposed to drink too or something?

Vivian Fried: Yes.

Liana Werner-Gray: The same one, bentonite clay.

Jim Fried: That’s it, that was a loaded question. Well, listen we have way too much information, and not enough time. So, when are you coming back?

Liana Werner-Gray: Well, hopefully soon. It is summer, and Florida is an amazing place to be in the summer.

Jim Fried: There you go. Girlfriends coming back soon. All right, we’ve got a great show today.

Wanda: Is there a website?

Liana Werner-Gray: Yeah, the Earth Diet…

Jim Fried: Thank you Wanda.

Liana Werner-Gray: .com. So…

Jim Fried: Thank you Wanda, not even doing my job.

Liana Werner-Gray: And people can just Google the Earth Diet, and it will come up. All the social media, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, the website, recipes, everything, and the books available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon.

Jim Fried: I live by the book. My wife makes me live by the book. Show the book to the Facebook folks. This Facebook thing will be all up on our Facebook page, and we’re going to start doing it to because she showed me the exact place that I’m going to put my Facebook stuff, and where I have to move my…I’m going to move it right over there and it’s going to be perfect. Oh my gosh. Liana gets another first bump for that. All right, I want to thank everybody. I want to thank Liana, I want to thank Don, I want to thank Larry Zinn, I want to thank everybody that makes the show possible. Wanda, I want to thank you. The most important people are the people to thank that are listening, but we get to that in a minute. I want to thank the Related Group, Spectrum Mortgage, Warren Henry Automotive, Magnum Energy Solutions, Early Shares, KIND Snacks, The NFL Alumni. We got a couple sponsors here. Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies. The Miami Marlins, can’t wait to go on Saturday night, and Fernandez is pitching Friday night. You want to be there for that too. The CCIMs, South Florida Business and Wealth Magazine, KIND Snacks, Xpresso Marketing, Social Media 305, and of course our friends at Lauren’s Kids. Now, wait a minute. Go to our Facebook page, like our show, and tell your friends we’re going to have this video up there too, and without you I want to thank the listeners. We wouldn’t even have a show. Join our community, give us feedback, and comments. Tell us who you want to hear from at jim@friedonbusiness. Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, website www.friedonbusiness.com. Hey, this is Jim Fried for Fried on Business. Look for us next week on 880 AM on Thursday at six. Why? I think it’s obvious by now. I just love doing this. Now, remember this is not a rehearsal, this is your life. The person who wants to do something finds a way. The other finds an excuse, now go out there, and make it happen. Wanda, it’s yours.

Vivian Fried: It’s hers.

Jim Fried: It’s Wanda. Turn on the music in here. It’s Vivian Fried’s birthday. She was on the show today. She’s the love of my life. We need to get her a kiss.
