• Gary Broidis and Larry Brooks – The Retail Bus Tour – In 1991, after (2) years of working on Wall Street with Oppenheimer & Co. as a corporate financial analyst, Gary began his commercial real estate career and was directly responsible for the leasing, management and redevelopment of over 1,500,000 square feet of retail properties located in NY, MA, OH, PA, VA and TN. In 1995, Gary co-founded Net Properties Corp., one of the first Real Estate Internet firms that was later sold in 1997 to a major advertising firm in New York City. After moving his family to South Florida in June, 1997, Gary joined the Lefmark Group and was directly involved with the redevelopment of over 20 major retail projects in South Florida.
Larry entered the commercial real estate field in 1997 as a leasing agent for Continental Real Estate Companies (CREC) in Miami, Florida. During his career, he has represented local, regional and national tenants seeking locations from Florida to the Carolinas. He has also represented private equity groups and landlords in the acquisition, development and leasing of dozens of retail and office projects throughout the U.S. He has served as a co-chair, committee member, speaker and panelist for networking events, idea exchanges and conferences for the International Council of Shopping Centers.
