About Our Guest:
For John, the fight is personal. As a sophomore at the University of Florida, his brother, Tim Morgan, was paralyzed while working as a lifeguard at Walt Disney World. The Morgan family put their trust in a lawyer who failed them, and they saw firsthand how the legal system can chew up those without power. The injustice changed John’s life—he vowed to become the lawyer his family never had, and to continue to stand up for people who have been wronged.
What started as a small firm in Florida has grown into America’s largest injury law firm, with:
1,000+ attorneys
50+ practice areas
$25+ billion recovered for clients
John’s leadership and impact continue to earn national recognition, with recent honors from Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers, 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know, and Forbes’ 2025 Billionaires List.
John’s work extends beyond the courtroom, as well. He’s led major ballot initiatives—like the fight to legalize medical marijuana in Florida and the push to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Today, he continues to support causes that matter to families nationwide.
