Back in the day – around the time when fire was invented – I was a student at the University of Florida. It was at UF that I was introduced to real estate as a career, and the experience was life-changing.
Many of the people I met then I still know today, and we have solid personal and business relationships. There were so many good people who took the time to guide and mentor me.
It’s made me who I am today.
So it’s always a treat when I have a chance to give back to the institution and the people in it. Whether it’s serving on the UF Real Estate Advisory Board, promoting the program through the Fried On Business radio show, or simply having coffee with an up-and-coming real estate professional, I love every minute of it.
I’m not the only one, by the way. I know dozens of UF alums who are each giving back to the program and the industry in their unique way.
The UF Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies is light-years ahead of anything I experienced during my days as a student, but it’s the people who make it great.
So thank you, University of Florida, for the opportunity to return the favor. No matter how much I give, what I get back is 10,000 times more.
