#ShowVivLove event to be enlightening, inspiring

SHARE

The Sacred Space in Wynwood is a beautiful event center. It’s like having a touch of Scottsdale, Arizona, right here in the heart of Miami.

It’s peaceful, it’s calming and it’s the perfect venue for our upcoming #ShowVivLove event set for June 15, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

As you know, my wife Vivian Fried has been battling end-stage kidney disease for the last four years. She goes to dialysis six days a week, and we’ve been searching intensely for a living kidney donor.

The costs are mounting, so some beautiful and loving people have come together to create #ShowVivLove, which will raise funds to help cover our expenses.

This is going to be a fabulous event. Our speakers include:

– Ari Sytner, author of the book The Kidney Donor’s Journey: 100 Questions I Asked Before Donating My Kidney.

– Alina Villasante, creator of Peace Love World Clothing.

– Vivian Fried herself, who will share from the heart about this difficult journey.

The $154 admission to the event includes drinks, hor d’oeuvres and a copy of Ari’s book. We’ll also have a Q&A session about living kidney donation. If you have a question, we’ll answer it.

In short, prepare to be inspired.

All proceeds from the event will go toward helping Vivian through the process of finding a donor and undergoing the transplant. The money will cover more Facebook ads, co-pay for anti-rejection medication, and continuing insurance coverage.

How are things going, you ask? Well, it’s been tough. We’ve had three potential donors make it almost completely through the qualification process, but in the end none have been eligible.

And the dialysis treatments – six days a week – are starting to take their toll on Vivian.

We’re still optimistic, however. My Facebook ad for Vivian has reached almost 200,000 people, and it’s been shared almost 1,500 times.

Someone, somewhere, will come through for us.

Speaking of beautiful people, here are some of the kind souls who are making #ShowVivLove possible:

– Venue Sponsor: The Sacred Space Miami, 105 NE 24th Street

– Event Sponsor: Karla Conceptual Events Experience

– Media Partner: Salem Communications, 880 AM, Wanda Myles
http://880thebiz.com/

– Platinum Sponsors: The Butters Group, Certus Senior Living, Warren Henry Automotive

Any money not used for Vivian’s care will be donated to the Renewal organization to support their efforts in helping other people find kidney donors.

For tickets to #ShowVivLove or to donate, go to http://bit.ly/showvivlove2017.

To become a sponsor, send emails to jim@friedonbusiness.com or call 305-773-6300.

Fried On Business: UF Real Estate Update
Episode 758 | 03.06.24

UF Real Estate Update

Jim attended the Annual UF Trends and Strategies Conference last week

He will tell you what he learned at the conference and he will speak with one of the Program's students:

Emme Benoit about why she choose the UF MSRE program and what she is learning.

*************************************

About Our Guests:

Emme Gisele-Louise Benoit

Emme graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Supply Chain Management, but deep down, always knew real estate was the path she was meant to take. So, she followed her heart and pursued that passion. Now, she is a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) student at the University of Florida, a journey that was largely inspired by her father's successful career as a commercial real estate developer.
Emme’s fascination with real estate isn't just about the industry itself; it's about the impact it has on communities and landscapes. She loves seeing how built spaces come to life, transforming areas and changing the skyline. It's about bringing a vision to reality and witnessing the profound changes that follow. This passion drives her every day and fuels her dedication to the field.
Currently, she serve as the Co-President of the UF Women's Real Estate Society and as an MSRE ambassador. These roles have given her the incredible opportunity to lead, inspire, and connect with like-minded individuals who are as passionate about real estate as she is. Through these positions, she aims to empower women in the industry, foster a supportive community, and advocate for sustainable and innovative practices in real estate.
Emme’s journey in real estate is a testament to following one's passion and making a tangible impact on the world. She is committed to learning, growing, and contributing to the industry in meaningful ways, and she is excited to see where this path will take her.
