Jim Fried of Fried On Business talks to UHealth guest Laurence Kalkstein, Ph.D., a bioclimatologist who specializes in the impact of weather on human health. He will discuss climate change and health and why climate change is spreading vector and mosquito-borne diseases, heat-related problems such as heat stroke and other heat-related health issues. He has been conducting research for over 35 years and is the lead researcher on a number of projects dealing with the development and implementation of heat/health warning systems for major cities worldwide. He does fantastic work at the University of Miami’s prestigious Department of Public Health.
