Friends and strangers bless search for kidney donor

A few days ago, two longtime friends – Blair Hyatt and Russ Bornstein – came down from Boca Raton to have lunch with me in Wynwood.

We were there to catch up and talk business, but before we began they paused for a moment.

Then they handed me a stack of checks they had collected to help support me and my wife, Vivian Fried, as we continue the search for a living kidney donor.

Vivian is in end-stage kidney failure, and our situation is getting urgent.

Needless to say, this hit us like a bolt of lightning – in a good way, of course. We really needed to see this tangible expression of love and support. It could not have come at a better time.

Russ and Blair are two of the most beautiful people in the world, as are the kind folks donated to our cause. I want to express my deepest thanks to them – and to everyone who gave some of their hard-earned money to help us out.

We are eternally grateful.
