She worked closely with individuals, personal & irrevocable trusts, foundations & charitable trusts, non-profit & institutional, individual retirement and agency accounts. She provided administrative, charitable, family, investment, board governance and fundraising consulting. Maria has the highest level of client service experience and has assisted clients with personal income, estate and fiduciary transfer tax planning as well as planning related to charitable trusts and gifting techniques. During her tenure, Maria also served in a variety of management roles with supervisory and management responsibilities. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Barry University and earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation. She is now a candidate for the Certified Financial Planning program. • Lauren Book -5:40– Executive Director, Survivor Lauren Book was a victim and is now survivor of child sexual abuse. Because of her experience, Ms. Book founded Lauren’s Kids along with her father, Ronald Book, in 2007. Under Ms. Book’s leadership, the non-profit organization works to prevent sexual abuse and help survivors heal. Book was born and raised in South Florida where she currently resides and directs Lauren’s Kids. Lauren graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Creative Writing, and she is currently working on a Master’s Degree in Community Psychology and Social Change and Non-Profit Development at the University of Miami. Lauren has been recognized for her outstanding contribution to education relating to sexual abuse and for her work within the community
