Commercial Real Estate Investing and Capitalization: New Trends
Jean-Louis Guinchard is a Senior Managing Principal of Silver Portal Capital LLC. He has over 25 years of investment banking, merchant banking and private equity experience.
Mr. Guinchard is also a founding partner of O&A Real Estate Development Partners, a $150 million private equity real estate investment company sponsored by O’Connor Capital Partners and the Ahumada family, the founding and principal shareholders of Consorcio ARA, the leading affordable entry level housing developer in Mexico and Latin America.
Previous to this, Mr. Guinchard served as the Co-Head of Latin American Investment, Corporate and Merchant Banking of Bank of America Securities where he was responsible for managing over $18 billion in assets and over 800 people in seven countries and head of the Family Wealth Advisor platform at Bank of America for Southern California and Latin America.
Before joining BAS in 1998, Mr. Guinchard spent 12 years at Salomon Brothers and Goldman Sachs within the corporate finance, M&A and private investment groups. Mr. Guinchard received his bachelor’s degree in honors economics and business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Mr. Guinchard was a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) for many years and is active on many public and private company and charitable boards.
